Ramblers-Purity version 6

This template is based on the JA-Purity template.

There are Ramblers Branding Guidelines which can be accessed from the volunteers section of the Central Office web site

The document that describes the branding in most detail is aimed at Designers. The easiest way to find it is to go to http://www.ramblers.org.uk/ and put branding into the search area.

Ramblers Colour Palette

Here is a representation of these colours, note that the colours may appear different in different applications.

Template Settings

You are able to set a number of items with this Template

Group – Enter the name of the Group or Area, this will appear in the Heading area of the site.

Logo Link - the web site the Logo should link to, usually http://www.ramblers.org.uk/

Logo Title - a text alternative to the Logo

Logo Image - an image for the logo, usually logo92.png

Logo Height - the image height

Logo Width - the image width

Display Logo - whether to display the logo or not

Horizon Elements – This will appear in the right hand side of the heading area. You may add your own horizons by adding them to image/horizons within the templates directory. To add images to this directory you need access to either FTP or a host provided file manager.

Horizontal Navigation Type – this is the same as Ja-Purity template

Vertical Navigation Type – this is the same as Ja-Purity template

Font size – this is the same as Ja-Purity template

Template Width – this is the same as Ja-Purity template

Specified width – this is the same as Ja-Purity template

Specified minimum width - the minimum width the web site window, stops items getting too cramped.

Header Themes – there are two types of theme for the heading a solid and an outline version, you can also select which Ramblers colour to use

Background Themes – this is the same as Ja-Purity template

Primary Elements – select the Ramblers colour for the main content of the web pages

Horizontal Menu Colour – select the colour for the horizontal menu

Vertical Menu Colour – select the colour for the horizontal menu

Page stats code in Header - place any code/scripts that you wish to add to every page in the HEAD tag. This is useful for adding Google Analytics code for logging usage statistics.

Page stats code in Body- place any code/scripts that you wish to add to every page at the bottom of the BODY tag. This is useful for adding Google Analytics code for logging usage statistics.

Vertical and Horizontal Menus

If you want to use a drop down menu then you need to place your menu in either the hornav or vertnav positions.

Make sure that Always show sub-menu Items is set on

Modules

A number of special modules layouts are provided as part of the template
